Friederisiko

Frederick II, known as Frederick the Great, is one of the most fascinating figures in European history. On the occasion of his 300th birthday in 2012, the Foundation for Prussian Palaces and Gardens Berlin-Brandenburg presented the character and worldview of Frederick in his most magnificent palace, the New Palace, and at selected locations in the park of Sanssouci in Potsdam.

The desire to take risks was a striking character trait of this monarch: Therefore the motto of this great show at its authentic scene of action is FRIEDERISKO. A heretofore unknown side of the king of Prussia awaits discovery, as do heretofore unknown areas in the palace that he himself planned down to the last details.
