Incorporating sculpture and painting into the art of arranging living spaces is an original and pleasant form of architecture. Karl Friedrich Schinkel tried his hand at this inspired union in the 19th century. When he built houses, he also designed the furniture, wall hangings and chandeliers used to decorate them. This exhibition has collected what remains of the furniture made by Friendrich Schinkel. Since almost none of the rooms these pieces furnished exist anymore, the architect's world has been recreated through sketches he drew and paintings showing the interiors of the castles.
