Living within the natural landscape was the principle Anne Lacaton and Jean-Philippe Vassal imposed on themselves before they began working on their architectural designs. As devotees of green spaces, the two French architects attempt to create buildings consistent with their desire to protect and showcase nature. To that end, they use various materials such as aluminium, breeze blocks and glass, which they carefully incorporate into the environment, always given centre stage.
