" The Museo Picasso in Barcelona is the setting for the largest exhibition devoted to the works of Albert Gleizes since the 1960 Paris retrospective. Approximately 60 paintings and a similar number of drawings and engravings shed new light on the creative genius of this artist who, after the publication of "Du cubisme" in 1912, was unfairly relegated to being known merely as the movement's intellectual theorist. Each of the exhibition's five sections illustrates a different artistic period. This unique selection of Albert Gleize's work has been made possible by loans from a number of French collectors and American museums. "
