An homage to Austrian artists This is the first time that the Italian capital has mounted an exhibition devoted to Austrian painters. Gustav Klimt, Egon Schiele and Oskar Kokoschka are the chosen ambassadors of Austrian art, presenting their vision of the transition from Art Nouveau to Expressionism. 120 major works (paintings, drawings and watercolors) by these artists take the visitor on a walk through the heart of Vienna at the end of the 19th and beginning of the 20th centuries. Under the influence of Art Nouveau, European Symbolism and Expressionism, artistic output during this period was sumptuous.
