Surrealist but not unrealistic When it comes to Surrealism, we've heard or read it all before: at best, it generates scepticism; at worst, complete bafflement. Yet the artists influenced by the movement revolutionized art from the 1920s to the 1940s. This exhibition revisits the work of masters such as Dali, Miro, Max Ernst and Masson, examining such major themes as eroticism, blasphemy and dreams along the way. It also touches on the correspondences among painting, poetry and literature within the Surrealist scene. The entire exhibition is an attempt to take stock of Surrealism and open up new and hitherto hidden perspectives on the movement's revolutionary - albeit disconcerting - contribution to art.
