Body expression. To exhibit the sculptures from the Tate Gallery collections, the museum decided to develop a number of central themes. This show is therefore built around the theme of the human body in its many conditions. The life-size sculptures of the classical realist influence, like Thomas Brock's Eve, are combined with more abstract forms, such as Untitled for Francis, by Anthony Gormley, molded directly on the body. The monumental appearance of these works expresses the elegance and finesse that are characteristic of 20th century sculpture.
