Electric mobility is facing a bright future: Car manufacturers are starting series production of hybrid and electric vehicles, are forging alliances with energy providers and battery manufacturers who - in return – are more than willing to invest in the required infrastructure and new production capacities. The industry is developing software and hardware solutions for future communication between vehicles and the electricity networks and new global players are inventing pioneering products and services for the mobility market. |

The eCarTec Paris 2010 conference, which will take place in Paris from April 15 to 16, 2010, provides a forum for discussions and exchange of ideas. It covers current topics regarding electric mobility and provides information on potentials, trends, infrastructure and development in the automotive industry and storage technology. "Especially in France, the market for electric mobility is a promising one: The French government is planning to purchase approximately 100,000 electric cars for its authorities, municipalities and state-owned enterprises by 2015. Plans have also been made to establish a nationwide system with one million charging stations by 2015 and to invest 1.5 billion euros into the infrastructure required for this promising e-revolution. This conference seeks to bring together at one event all important players ", says Robert Metzger, Managing Director at MunichExpo GmbH and organizer of the conference. "With our events, eCarTec in Paris in April and eCarTec in Munich in October, we are covering both major markets for electric mobility in Europe. Paris will address the French, Spanish and English market whereas Munich seeks to address the rest of Europe".
The main focus of this conference is on technological challenges and the development of electric vehicles, energy provision and distribution, energy storage and future mobility concepts. Speeches will be delivered by ESG (Sales and maintenance of EVs opportunities and challenges), Infineon (Increased energy efficiency of electrical cars), Leclanché (Large format Li-Ion batteries for EV), Mitsubishi (The new quick charging concept) or Renault-Nissan (Drive the change – zero emission vehicles for everyone), to just mention a few. Conference language is English, simultaneous interpretation into French will also be offered.
Interested companies can present themselves at professionally designed meeting points in the foyer of the conference. What is more, an exclusive evening event will take place at the end of the first conference day and is a good opportunity for all participants to get in touch with others and to intensify discussions in a casual atmosphere.
