1. CONCORDE PRESTIGE CARD - FEATURES
1.1. The Concorde Prestige scheme provides members with certain
advantages, namely the Concorde Hotels Miles credits as well as
awards based upon pre-established rules in line with the conditions
below.
1.2. The Concorde Prestige card may be used in Concorde Hotels
participating in the Concorde Prestige scheme.
1.3. The card is valid for one year and may be used up until the
last day of the month shown. The card is not transferable and may
not be resold or lent to another person. It is not a credit card.
2. HOW TO APPLY FOR THE CONCORDE PERSTIGE CARD
2.1. Anyone wishing to join the Concorde Prestige scheme may apply
to do so by returning a completed, signed application form together
with payment to Concorde Hotels, Prestige Department, 83, boulevard
Exelmans 75016 Paris - France.
2.2. Anyone whose application is accepted by Concorde Hotels will
be sent as soon as possible a personalized Concorde Prestige card
with name and membership number together with a guide on how to use
Concorde Prestige.
2.3. Only people living in a country operating the scheme will be
eligible for a Concorde Prestige card (list of participating
countries available upon request).
2.4. Application for the Concorde Prestige card implies unlimited
general acceptance of these conditions.
2.5. Concorde Hotels reserve the right to refuse applications which
do not meet the stated criteria, without having to justify their
decision.
2.6. Each applicant is obliged to provide information regarding
changes of address. Concorde Hotels will not be held responsible
for mail not forwarded or for any possible consequences.
3. BENEFITS
3.1. Preferentials rates
Anyone who holds a Concorde Prestige card can benefit in the
participating hotels from preferential rates representing from 10
to 20% discount on standard rates, 7 days a week (rates available
upon request). The benefits mentioned above cannot be combined
either with other Concorde Hotels promotions or in the case of
contractual reductions entered into with a company. The cardholder
may take advantage of promotional rates at the hotel upon request
and subject to availability. Rates negotiated with an individual
hotel or with the Concorde Hotels Group (by an individual or
company) take priority over card benefits.
3.2. Preferential Services
- Upgrade to superior room on request and subject to availability.
- Room avaible until 4.00 pm on the day of departure with prior request and upon avaibility.
3.3. Conditions
These discounts only apply in participating hotels.
3.4. Hertz Car Hire Benefits
Hertz offers the following car hire benefits to Concorde Prestige
cardholders :
- 20% discount on standard rates in France,
- 10% discount on weekend packages in France,
- 20% discount on the Day+Kilometers rates in Europe,
- Access to Business Advantage rates in the rest of the world.
To benefit the cardholder must quote reference "CDP 964611" to the
Hertz agency.
In addition the Hertz#1 Gold Club card normally worth 270 FRF will
be proposed free of charge to the cardholder. Reserved for Hertz's
top clients this provides express service when hiring a car from
any one of more than 600 Hertz agencies worldwide.
4. CONCORDE HOTELS MILES
4.1. Principle
During any paid stay in a Concorde Hotels Group participating in
the Concorde Prestige scheme where at least one night is spent in a
room at that hotel, the cardholder will be eligible for Concorde
Hotels Miles calculated on the following basis : 100 FRF (approx.
18 USD) including VAT spent at the hotel = 500 Concorde Hotels
Miles.
There is a maximum of Concorde Hotels Miles earned per stay : 100 000 miles
( expenses of 20 000 FRF including VAT ) , one stay being one or several
consecutive nights whether one or several entry forms have been filled in.
4.2. How to calculate Concorde Hotels Miles
4.2.1. Services provided by the hotel, invoiced to the client
holding the Concorde Prestige card and paid for immediately, are
taken into consideration in the calculation of Concorde Hotels
Miles: accommodation, breakfasts, lunches or dinners taken in a
restaurant at the hotel or in the room, telephone, fax ... Excluded
are banquet services including group dinners, any services
associated with the hiring of function rooms or cocktail parties.
Services charged to the hotel by outside suppliers cannot be used
for Concorde Hotels Miles (taxis, golf, thalassotherapy, shows,
restaurants other than in the hotel, etc, ...).
4.2.2. The calculation of Concorde Hotels Miles is based upon the
total including VAT shown in French Francs on the invoice. If the
latter is given in a currency other than French Francs, the amount
will be converted into French Francs using the current exchange
rate at the time the Concorde Hotels Miles are calculated.
4.2.3. Services included as part of an offer will under no
circumstances be taken into consideration for the purpose of
calculating the number of Concorde Hotels Miles.
4.3. How to obtain Concorde Hotels Miles
4.3.1. Only the holder of the Concorde Prestige card is eligible
for Concorde Hotels Miles. In order to be credited with Concorde
Hotels Miles, it is essential the cardholder give the membership
number when booking and that the card be presented on arrival at
the hotel.
Concorde Hotels Miles obtained will be credited to the cardholder's
account.
4.3.2. The cardholder must ensure that the correct number of
Concorde Hotels Miles obtained has been credited. In the event that
a cardholder believes Concorde Hotels Miles have not been correctly
credited, all relevant information (invoice, membership number)
should be forwarded to the Marketing Department, 83 boulevard
Exelmans, 75016 Paris, France (Tel.: (33) (0) 1 40 71 21 33) no
longer than 3 months after the date of stay. In the event that the
claim is justified, the appropriate Concorde Hotels Miles will be
credited.
4.3.3. Concorde Hotels reserve the right to debit the account of
any cardholder who has had Concorde Hotels Miles wrongly credited
and also reserve the right to award additional Concorde Hotels
Miles during individual promotions.
4.3.4. A statement of Concorde Hotels Miles will be sent to the
cardholder where an account has been debited or credited. These
statements will be supplied on a one off basis with no extra
copies.
5. GRANTING OF AWARDS
5.1.1. Concorde Prestige awards enable the holder to have free
accommodation and breakfast in participating Concorde Hotels in the
Prestige scheme. A list of awards available as well as the
requisite number of miles appears in this guide detailing how to
use Concorde Prestige sent with the card.
5.1.2. The accommodation award makes it possible to stay free of
charge in a superior single or double room in a hotel in the
category specified on the award certificate, with breakfast
included. The holder can share his room with another person without
paying a supplement. The latter will also be offered breakfast for
the free night. The holder can however, only accumulate 2
accommodation awards in the course of one stay, that is to say, 2
free nights in the same hotel.
5.1.3. The "Week in the West Indies" award makes it possible to
stay free of charge in a traditional double room in one of
Concorde's hotels in the West Indies for 6 nights, with breakfast
included.
The "Week in the West Indies" award may under no circumstances be
combined or used in conjunction with another award.
5.1.4. Concorde Hotels Miles are valid for 6 months after the
expiry date shown on the card. After this date they will be
cancelled. For example, in the case of a card valid from 1 January
1997 to 1 January 1998, Concorde Hotels Miles accumulated during
this period are valid until 1 July 1998.
5.1.5. The holder must pay for all additional services relating to
their stay.
5.1.6. Air France / Air Inter Europe and British Airways awards
consist in transfering Concorde Hotels Miles in Frequence Plus
Miles or Executive Club Miles as follows :
10 Concorde Hotels Miles = 1 Frequence Plus Mile
10 Concorde Hotels Miles = 1 Executive Club Mile or 1 Global Frequent Flyer Mile
100 Concorde Hotels Miles = 1 Air Mile
Minimum transfer :
30 000 Miles Concorde Hotels = 300 Frequence Plus Air France Miles or Executive Club British Airways Miles.
Frequence Plus Miles :
Minimum transfer : 30 000 Miles Concorde Hotels.
Maximum transfer : 400 000 Concorde Hotels Miles.
Executive Club Miles:
Minimum transfer : 30 000 Miles Concorde Hotels.
Maximum transfer : 200 000 Concorde Hotels Miles.
The holder can transfer the Concorde Hotels Miles in Executive Club
Miles only once a year (1st of April to 31st of March).
5.2. Procedure for obtaining awards
5.2.1. Award certificates may only be made out to the holder of the
Concorde Prestige card.
5.2.2. When the holder has the necessary number of Concorde Hotels
Miles valid for the period in question, he/she can apply for
Concorde Prestige award by calling one of Concorde Hotels'
Reservation Centers. No award will be granted directly by the
hotels. Regardless of type of award, reservations must be made
within a period of one week to 3 months prior to the date of stay.
Concurrently, the number of miles required will be debited from the
Concorde Hotels Miles and a confirmation slip as well as an award
certificate sent to the holder as soon as possible. This is
provided the necessary number of miles are on the account and
subject to availability. Concorde Hotels will not under any
circumstances be held responsible for any delay in forwarding the
awards or awards lost or destroyed in the post.
5.2.3. It is only possible to issue an award certificate when the
holder books the required stay with a Concorde Reservation Center.
It will only be valid for this booking.
5.2.4. Where unavoidable circumstances make it necessary to cancel,
it is essential the award certificate be returned to the Concorde
Marketing Department. On receipt, the holder's account will be
re-credited with Concorde Hotels Miles. A single cancellation will
be accepted. If this reoccurs, the Concorde Hotels Miles will be
lost.
5.2.5. It is essential that the holder of the Concorde Prestige
card present the card, award certificate and confirmation slip to
the reception desk upon arrival at the hotel.
5.2.6. When the holder has accumulated the necessary number of
Concorde Hotels Miles valid for the period in question, he/she can
ask for partner award (Miles transfer) by calling one of Concorde
Hotels' Reservation Centers. No partner award will be granted
directly by the hotels.
Concurrently, the number of Concorde Hotels Miles required will be
debited from the Concorde Hotels Miles. This is provided the
necessary number of Miles are on the account and subject to
availability. The holder will have to mention the number of his/her
Concorde Prestige card as well as the number of his/her Executive
Club or Frequence Plus card on which he/she wants to transfer the
Miles. The transfer is definitive and Concorde Hotels will not
under any circumstances be held responsible for any delay in
forwarding the awards.
5.3.1. The Concorde Hotels Miles accumulated by the holder and the
discounts granted are not personal property; they may not be
transferred (excepted for a partnership) or assigned for any reason
whatsoever.
5.3.2. The number of Concorde Hotels Miles required for awards is
fixed. The number of Concorde Hotels Miles required for an award
cannot be reduced for a holder entitled to a discount.
5.4. Responsibilities of Concorde Hotels
5.4.1. Awards may not under any circumstances be backdated, have a
redemption price or exchange value, sold or converted into cash in
any form whatsoever.
5.4.2. Concorde Hotels' awards are subject to availability. It is
possible that no room will be available during certain periods.
Concorde Hotels disclaim all responsibility with regard to bookings
unavailable due to such circumstances.
5.4.3. Awards are dependent upon the number of rooms reserved for
the scheme. Concorde Hotels will be the sole judge of the number of
rooms are available for this purpose; no claim will be accepted,
even if rooms are available in the hotel. Given the limited number
of rooms, holders are advised to book as early as possible, stating
the award involved and giving their membership number.
5.4.4. If an award cannot be granted, no compensation will be
offered by Concorde Hotels Miles.
5.4.5. Concorde Hotels reserve the right to refuse or limit free
services during specific periods.
5.4.6. Where an award is unfairly refused, Concorde Hotels'
liability will be limited to the value of the award. Any
compensation can only take the form of an award of equivalent
value.
5.4.7. Concorde Hotels reserve the right to change the number of
Concorde Hotels Miles required for granting of any award and to
cancel any award offer with immediate effect without notice.
6. GENERAL POINTS
6.1. Concorde Hotels reserve the right to change the terms of this
contract without notice.
6.2. Concorde Hotels reserve the right to cancel this scheme within
a 6 months period. It will be possible to collect points during the
6 months following notification, regardless of the card expiry
date.
6.3. Concorde Hotels may extend this scheme to include other hotels
or businesses which are not hotels. Concorde Hotels will inform
cardholders of any conditions relating to new members.
6.4. Concorde Hotels reserve the right to end the participation of
any hotel or any business which is not a hotel in the scheme,
without notice.
6.5. This scheme cannot be operated in conjunction with any other
scheme.
6.6. This scheme is valid only in countries where allowed by law.
In certain countries, the law may impose restrictions regarding the
application of and/or participation in the Concorde Prestige
scheme. In order to comply with the law in these countries,
Concorde Hotels reserve the right to act upon new instructions
immediately and make any necessary changes to their scheme without
prior notice.
6.7. The recipient of any awards has sole responsibility for the
payment of any tax relating to awards granted under the scheme as
well as informing the appropriate government authorities of the
fact that awards have been received.
6.8. Any person who registered under the scheme gives Concorde
Hotels the express authority to use any information in their
possession for Sales and Marketing purposes. Members may have free
access to their file for the purpose of amending information. The
information will be treated as confidential and may only be
communicated to member companies. If, however, the holder does not
wish the information to be distributed to such members, it will be
sufficient for him to inform the Marketing Department of Concorde
Hotels in writing.
6.9. In the event of non-payment of a subscription fee or invoice
or in the event of abuse of privileges or false declarations on the
part of the holder, Concorde Hotels reserve the right to exclude a
person from the scheme without notice. No reimbursement will be
made for the card.
6.10. In the event of exclusion, Concorde Hotels Miles accumulated
up to that point will be lost and the holder not eligible for
compensation of any kind. The excluded person will also be excluded
from membership of any subsequent scheme.
6.11. The holder may decide at any point to cease participation in
the Concorde Prestige scheme. Concorde Hotels must be notified of
this in writing. Any Concorde Hotels Miles accumulated will then be
lost.
6.12. In the event of the holder's death, Concorde Hotels awards
are not transferable. The account will be closed and the Concorde
Hotels Miles lost.
6.13. Loss, theft or damage of cards
In the event of loss or theft of the card, the holder must inform
the Marketing Department of Concorde Hotels, 83 boulevard Exelmans,
75016 Paris, France. Following notification a new card will be
dispatched with the same expiry date as soon as possible. All
Concorde Hotels Miles entered and not used will be transferred to
the new account and the old card cancelled.
6.14. Renewing the Concorde Prestige card
The Concorde Prestige card may be renewed by payment of a further
subscription fee. The holder will be notified prior to expiry date.
6.15. In the case of any difference of opinion regarding the
interpretation of the general conditions of the scheme, the guide
or any other documentation provided by Concorde Hotels as a result
of translation into a foreign language, the French version will be
regarded as absolute. French law will apply to the contract and any
judgement applied for in Paris with regard to any dispute regarding
the scheme.
