Opened for the start of the new season in 1957, the Nou Camp (Camp Nou in Spanish) is home to Barcelona Football Club and is renowned as one of the greatest football stadiums in Europe.


L'Illa and El Cortes Ingles

Near the hotel are a number of excellent shopping centres, including L'Illa and El Cortes Ingles, as well as many exclusive fashion boutiques.


Fundació Joan Miró

The largest single collection of Miró's work in the world including paintings, sculptures, engravings, lithographs and ceramics is displayed in an interesting setting. Miró's friend Josep Lluís Sert designed the gallery and its amazing use of white and light makes it an unforgettable experience.


Museum of Contemporary Art

Created in 1955, the glass structured building of the Museum exhibits the best of Catalan, Spanish and contemporary art. There are also exhibitions from a huge collection owned by the gallery - over 1600 pieces, which changes regularly so there is always something interesting to see such as work by Joan Brossa, Paul Klee and Alexander Calder, amongst others.


Picasso Museum

Probably Barcelona's most visited museum, showcasing work from the artists blue period and early years including the renowned piece 'The Defenceless' as well as ceramics and early works from the 1890s. The museum also follows Picasso's life and travel.
