The Hotel Concorde Saint-Lazare...from the XIXth to the XXIst century: It was the end of the XIXth century. DATE OF CONSTRUCTION: The Hotel Concorde Saint-Lazare, known at the time as « Grand Hôtel Terminus », was built in 1889 by the Compagnie des Chemins de fer de l’Ouest to accommodate visitors to the Great Exhibition. DECOR: Behind the rather sober facade we find a decor of pink marble, paintings, and Lameire sculptures. SITUATION: The hotel is situated opposite the Gare Saint-Lazare, a few minutes’ walk from the large stores on the Boulevard Haussmann, from the Madeleine and the Opéra, and 7 minutes from “La Défense” by train.
