The cutting edge of Art, Architecture & Interior Design

Architecture, art and interior design are all woven together in the interiors of the Hotel Concorde Berlin, with the modern, linear architecture forming a perfect setting for exhibiting the hotel's prestigious collection of contemporary art. Public areas are filled with striking contemporary paintings and sculptures, while the guest rooms and suites feature a series of modern art prints.

Jan Kleihues was responsible for the exterior and interior of the building, with its warm colours and elegant décor, and he even designed the furniture. The public areas - lobby, reception, restaurants and other areas - are all decorated with warm timber tones, accentuated by the deep red of the upholstery and carpets. The furniture is all custom-made from American chestnut, and there is sophisticated lighting throughout, most notably in the spacious two-storey lobby, with its concealed lighting hidden in the silver-leaf covered ceiling.

The public areas of the Hotel Concorde Berlin are decorated with contemporary German artwork, with the lobby featuring sculptures by Dietrich Klinge and specially commissioned paintings by Junior Toscanelli. The rooms and suites are also decorated in warm tones, with generous use of wood, and feature modern art prints also from Toscanelli.
