At the Heart of Cite Internationale

Cité Internationale

The Hotel de la Cité is an integral part of Cité Internationale, a 15 hectare architectural and urban project consisting of a congress centre, a casino, a multiscreen cinema complex and a museum of contemporary art. This cutting-edge development by world-famous architect Renzo Piano (Centre Georges Pompidou, Paris; Potzdamer Platz, Berlin; Kansai International Airport, Osaka; please visit www.rpbw.com for more information), was the first project to implement research into 'double skin' technology; a hollow space between one layer of glass and one of terracotta which acts an heat exchanger.

Built with Business in Mind

Built with the business traveller in mind the hotel is equipped for WiFi Internet access throughout the entire building. The Congress Centre is immediately adjacent and Lyon itself is a bustling, affluent city. It has thrived as a commercial centre since Roman times and these days is France's biggest business capital, second only to Paris. All of the generously proportioned rooms within the hotel are well-equipped with large desks and the hotel's meeting rooms are well-supported by the Business Centre.

Easy Access into Lyon

Just ten minutes to Vieux Lyon – Lyon's old town, a UNESCO World Heritage Site – the hotel is also suited for weekend visits to this gastronomic centre of France. Ideally situated between one of the country's largest parks and alongside the River Rhône, Hotel de la Cité serves as an interesting base for excursions into the city or enjoyment of the wide green spaces of the Tête D'Or.
