Florentine sculpture.From September, the Louvre in Paris is devoting a major exhibition of sculpture and art to Florence in the first half of the Quattrocento (1400-1460). Sculpture played an important role during this period.140 works, some monumental, are presented to the public in the Napoléon Hall. Visitors can view sculptures, paintings, drawings, manuscripts, silverware and majolica by exceptional artists such as Donatello, Nanni di Banco di Luca della Robbia, Ghiberti or Mino da Fiesole.Major works on show include the panels from Brunelleschi and Ghiberti and monumental sculptures by Donatello.
