Berlin, Where the Future is Now

No European capital has ever undergone so much change: since 1989, Berlin has plunged into a frenetic race to the future. New urban development projects, new cultural events… The city, in full effervescence, is asserting itself as the most avant-garde art center in the Europe of tomorrow.

Must-sees: the Postdamer Platz, which has been given a total facelift by designer Renzo Piano, and the Reichstag's huge glass cupola, symbolizing the city's political revival. Close by, on Museum Island, one of Europe's most ambitious cultural programs is underway: bringing together the city’s most prestigious collections in five museums listed as World Heritage treasures by UNESCO. August is the perfect month to take in the Greek and Babylonian antiquities in the Pergamon Museum, and Picasso, Leger and Munch's works in the New National Gallery: on the occasion of the highly popular Museum Night, collections and first-time performances are open to visitors.

In the contemporary spirit of Berlin, the Hotel Concorde Berlin, with their elegant, polished designs, will surround you with luxury, refinement and… gourmet treats when you return from your excursions.

Museum Night
August 27, from 6:00 p.m. to 2:00 a.m.,
throughout the city.
