Considered one of the most beautiful avenues in the world, the Champs-Elysees stretches for 2 kilometres through the 8th arrondissement in Northwest Paris. Starting at Place de la Concorde, with its ancient Obelisk, visitors can walk the length of the avenue and enjoy the many shops and cafés leading to Place Charles De Gaulle Etoile and the iconic Arc de Triomphe. Completed in 1836, this famous edifice was commission by Napoleon as a tribute to the French army after his victory at Austerlitz. Located at the centre of the world's first traffic roundabout, visitors can ascend to the top and enjoy breathtaking views of the surrounding area.
