Montmartre is a hill to the North of Paris city centre primarily known for the white-domed Basilica of the Sacré-Cœur which sits majestically at the top. Famous artists including Picasso, Monet and Dali all had studios or worked in the area which led to it becoming one of the principle artistic centres in Paris.
